Past Projects

In the fall of 2001 Ryan and I started assembling and modifying cars together.  All started in different forms, some from scratch, others from near full build requiring only tweaking and tuning.  Nevertheless, all of these cars have been ours… we have a tendency to go through a lot:  lots that never even made mention here, and some that I spent hours writing and thinking about.  It is some form of A.D.D…. really.  In the first few years after we teamed up, neither of us managed to make it through a single season with one car.  They came and went. Mostly it was because we liked to dream, but it was also partly because there was always someone willing to buy.  Cash just looks so good.

Note: These charts are for fun.  Don’t confuse them for us being hard core and bad ass.  Check it out.

Either I have a really cool neighbor, or my neighbor has a really cool friend. I was able to stop and take a terrible picture of this car the second time that I saw it on my block. I remember hearing stories about golden valve covers and the technicians engraving their names on the crankshaft after hand balancing. Hipster Alert! […]

Subaru Technica International

I have heard anecdotes about arranged marriages that result in true love. I believe those stories. I do not mean to imply a belief that all arranged marriages can result in true love. I merely accept the idea that the act of loving can result in a feeling of love. I also accept that many arranged marriages likely result in […]

Leaving a Legacy

I don’t know that I actually love my truck. I’ve used it everyday for almost two years now, and have had no real complaints…. But it would be kind of nice if I was able to sell it. It doesn’t really fit in my shop. My wife refuses to drive it. It’s expensive as hell on gas, and the rate […]

Love and Life

No joke… for the first time today I told someone how “good” my Dodge truck was. Moments later it died and wouldn’t re-start. The truck is now scattered across my yard… with my shop too small to both house it, and at the same time grant access to, and space to maneuver very large and separated components there are no […]

Lying Up

You forgot this thing was here, and I’m embarrassed to say that I’m quite smitten with it. It has certainly been a Dodge… meaning little annoying things break all the time, and it constantly threatens to blow up it’s transmission, but it is cheap, gets beat on and is incredibly practical. It’s also hilarious on snowy roads. Holding massive angle […]

Still Trucking

Trucks in general are boring. They all look the same. They all have basically the same engines, the same options, and they are all everywhere. I needed a truck though… so here I am. Mine at least, has a bling bling grill. It’s a great deterrent for all those yuppie jerks driving 3 series BMW’s or AMG Mercedes, who would […]
