Nandemo. Spaced out wife just says, “whatever.”

Gran Turismo Sport came out last month, and while I haven’t seriously played a video game in nearly five years, it looked far too good to pass up. It’s not without its downfalls, but in my mind, the complaints about the game that I have heard from others, are not the real issues.  Yes there are WAY fewer cars available […]

Still A Kid I Guess

In the last five years, Subaru, and certainly Toyota have done lots with the FT86 platform.  We’ve seen minor iterations from the production car, and a few interesting special edition models.  On the motorsports front, both STI and Gazoo have put out some great looking and functional competition machines.  In terms of concept cars, we’ve seen convertibles, and sedans, and […]

Newest Dream Car?

Now one year since we bought our big Toyota tree, you haven’t heard much about it at all.  I’ve struggled greatly to generate any emotional attachment to our Sequoia, but it has been a terrific workhorse. In a year of ownership, I’ve put on around 10,000 km.  The truck is on its third pan full of oil, and second serpentine […]

Ultimate Utility

You’ve noticed – I’ve been getting pretty bored of solo.  With no co-drivers and mediocre results my interest has been fading fast.  The past four years with the FRS, has been the longest period I have ever spent with one vehicle… So this weekend I was pretty happy for something new… in fact two somethings new. Ryan (the R part) […]

oh yah AutoX can be fun….

One of my quiet and distant auto senpai once told me that modding cars was a game for children.   Being a child at the time, I took this as old man talk.  His logic was the following… How can the engineering resources of even the greatest tuning company possibly compete with those of a multi-billion dollar company like Porsche? […]

Car Life Flavour Turned Vanilla

It’s spring, and my fourth season with the FR-S begins… The fact that I’m still driving the car seems amazing in itself.  When I bought the car I planned on keeping it forever, but I sure as hell didn’t plan on keeping it stock. As it is though, it has largely impressed and I have seen little need to spend money […]

“some old drivers in new ND Miata’s for 2017” — wonder who that would be? 🙂

Sucks about the camber loss. I only got 1.5 degrees on the Miata, and that at the cost of much too little caster. And I am really curious to see how the smaller wheel diameter works for you.

Congrats on the win in Vegas!

Looking forward to it. Mr. John’s hinted that he had picked one up too.

Looks like Maurice ditched his MR2 for an ND, and in Fontana could get the better of every Street Class car except for a few GT3’s… that is pretty freaking scary for me. Maurice is a good shoe, but that is some result! Not one an FRS ever managed…
