I’ve been putting the car together. The new sway bar is in. The inner fender got a clean coat of undercoating while everything was out. The struts got a good clean up and I cleaned and painted a few other little items. That doesn’t mean everything looks good. It looks better, but this car will never be a show car. […]

Re-Assembly

I hate flakes. I also hate starting this particular page on such a negative topic… but it’s biting me awfully hard today. The recent events at QRGaraGe have created a need for some major cutbacks on our AE86 project, now known as August Sixth. This has meant, that for the past two weeks we’ve been having an official garage sale. […]

The Worst Kind of Flakes… even if your not wearing ...

Been trying to get an hour or two with the white coupe every day, and over the past week I’ve made decent progress. Weather permitting it will be on the road in a couple weeks, albeit without the turbo. All I have left to do, is source an oil pan with an oil return fitting, resurface flywheel, install sway bar, […]

Giving up…

A picture is worth a thousand words… but I don’t have the energy to photograph everything, and Dave and Andrew are doing a pretty good job anyways. It’s hard to find time to upload thousands of MB of pictures, but I can write anytime anywhere, and upload in a moment. Somehow writing is more fun anyways… probably because I don’t […]

OMGI bought our tenth AE86 tonight. I've been shopping for a car for a couple months now. My plan all along has been to buy a car that I could drive early this season if for whatever reason our turbo project ran late. This new car doesn't fit with that plan, as it's a big project. That said, I'm very happy to give that up. This is the nicest AE86 body I've every seen. Furthermore, it is IMO, the ideal body type. It's a zenkei coupe with a hard top... just like our turbo project. While the current car still has a great chassis, this new one has original paint, only 126k km on it, four spot free shock towers and spot free rear pockets. The only notable rust is a patch a small patch on the drivers side fender, and a few rock chips on the roof and passenger door. [...]

My Tenth AE86 Purchased

After spending 35 hours at a the World of Wheels this weekend, I am beyond burnt out. I have pushed myself to a physical breaking point before, but this time, through a diet of Boston Pizza take out, Bishop brand trail mix, and various fresh fruits, my body endured and I am experiencing something new. Delusion, grandeur, confusion, insanity. I […]
