Not a good picture, because the AE86 wiper motor on the left has been mutilated and disassembled, but compared with the TCR10 wiper motor on the right, it’s a behemoth. After making and welding on some shakkito plates, I was embarrassed to discover I hadn’t left enough room for the wiper motor.
The legs, and wide base of the AE86 motor were the biggest problem. The TCR10 motor however, is much more compact and fits easily in place. Of course, none of the bolt holes line up…
So I made this aluminum adapter plate. It needs a bit of an odd shape to clear a couple of jut outs on the motor, but works good. Haven’t hooked it up to power yet though. The TCR10 has a wiper delay setting that the AE86 does not… and I wonder what speed this motor will run at relative to the original motor.
