Often auto-x cars are cool, but just as often they are weird and awkward. This 911 is very interesting, but it certainly is not mine and never could be. I’m not much of a work boot guy… and I think aesthetics are a very important part of enjoying a car. I’m aware that doesn’t make me much of a pure racer.
But as Road&Track recently highlighted, there’s a little more to contact patches than most think. And in the case of auto-x, there are a lot of conservatively tired cars that out run abominations like this. Not that tire size is the only thing in play of course. Nor am I an expert in auto-x… I’m just a critic.
