86 people all around the world are cool. I received a package from my correspondent in Japan yesterday containing various video’s of grassroots AE86 sliding action, as well as a bonus Levin Trueno Magazine. Wow.

I’ve watched a few of the vids… quite amazing. The skill of drifters in Japan is tremendously high. Lap after lap everyone performs as well as the best guys local to me… or so it appears. But… it’s easy to see how this skill has developed. There are no tracks or organizations locally that actually have the ability to support drifting in the same way… lap after lap after lap around a magnificent 2nd and 3rd gear road course.
