Subaru is not Toyota. I have never owned an Alfa or a Lancia but having heard a little bit about life with either, I reckon that if you want the experience of a finicky/disgruntled car while still remaining a Japanese loyalist, you should buy a Subaru.
I don’t feel like ours are ever going to leave us stranded, but damn do they like to complain about everything. They are your fine assed girlfriend who won’t leave the house if one of their socks is pulled up higher than the other, and won’t speak to you for a week if you fail to tell them how perfect they are at the exact right moment. Your Toyota is always up for a good thumping. The Subaru needs dinner and Ryan Gosling first, and sure as hell isn’t getting out of bed before noon the morning after without waffles and bacon.
