Back in Calgary… maybe even sadly back in Calgary. It’s a good place, but the romanticism of a new place and a beautiful girl still carries. No complaints there…
I’m not sure what the future holds here. … I was saying that before I left… but before I left I thought with confidence that I’d be shutting this website down within the next few months. Car life… just wouldn’t/couldn’t continue once Yoshiko came back to Calgary for good.
But I learned a lot about living married, and I learned a lot about what car life can be… in Japan. At the very least… I think I’ll sell my car and start over… cheap. I learned about the real boro style… and I started to think it’s really cool. Car magazines here talk about the Japanese style being so oriented towards driving… but we don’t really understand what that means over here. We’re caught up in collecting rare JDM parts and emulating their look and style… but really… their just doing things on the cheap, and the rare JDM parts we seek, are just lying hidden in tufts of grass and garbage piles… because their everywhere… no one really cares about them, they just want to go out and drive.
So… we’ll see how that changes things for me… i really think the true JDM style, is one worth emulating. My best driving experience has been had on foreign soil… and I am changed forever.
