4WD is scary.
It looks like the 86 will be gone soon. I need to replace it with something super cheap. But I still want to have fun. Andrew’s BC6 is beautiful, and I work at a Subaru shop… maybe that’ll happen. On the other hand, 4wd just doesn’t seem to be my style.
I like it sideways. But drifting 4wd (and I don’t mean what you hokey fan boys call drifting) takes serious stones. If I drove 4wd for a year, I would emerge from that year more ballsy and smokey than my present mind can comprehend.
Steering work has to be so precise cause the front tires are scrambling around too… and don’t you dare lift, because once you do, that tank stops turning. I have twice the respect I had for 4wd rally drivers one week ago.
And no I don’t want to become a rally driver.
Still… my current list of possible new cars includes RNN14, ST185, BC6, and GC8. Then again… I might just go really old school with TE Corollas or MX73.
