Happy Birthday

Been almost four weeks. To those who find the time to browse the web and read stories of car life, I apologize. This used to be me, and I always hated such long lapses without updates. Things have been so non-stop for us lately… there has been no time to get here.

Even now… I don’t want to write anymore. I’ll do it later. Angle Factory 2 was on August 14th. Yesterday I organized the drifting and auto-x for the V8-less SCC. It was Alberta’s first tandem style drift competition. It was… exciting, but so exhausting. I drove the car for maybe 4 runs, and quit after I unsuccessfully tried to fit the car in between a 240 and a barrel. It’s not too bad… but I’m pissed. Ryan’s away this weekend at the Canadian National Autoslalom Championship driving Peter Lawerence’s ASS Porsche 911. This is always an exciting thing, and talking to him on the phone about it makes me wish we had a car to take there. This might even drastically change our plans with the coupe. For a brief update, he’s first in class after the first day but it’s close. Obviously Ryan’s recent sideways activities haven’t inhibited him from going fast.

Good luck today Ryan. I’d come up and watch but… after yesterday I don’t want to see anymore cars… and besides. It’s my birthday. JD and ice cream cake anyone?
