What happened to the mid-engined rally car?
Historically, and presently real race cars and sports cars place the engine behind the driver. F1, Cart, IRL, Go-Karts, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Lotus… Any car built, with the single purpose of going fast, puts the engine behind the driver.
Nuff said… right??
Before, the advent of the modern WRC, there were heaps of mid-engined rally cars: 2WD and 4WD. Has modern technology allowed front engined cars to catch up? Was a decision made about the stability of front-engined cars? Or did the major manufactures just decide flagship sales were more important than overwhelming advantages in WRC?
Axle on the Legacy blew up now… we’d already identified it needed one, and thus… there is one in the mail already. But… could be a couple weeks… hopefully not a couple months.
If only there was enough money to get the NEXT car ready.
