Nagoya

We’ll be leaving Nagoya today, and heading for a small town known for it’s public baths and temples, named Nikko. Nagoya was nice… and certainly a lot more western in appearance than Kyoto and Osaka, with wide roads, real sidewalks, and even advertisements for a “New American Community” on the television. Not really what I’m looking to see in general…

But… we stopped at a Castle yesterday, orginally built in the 17th century… but rebuilt after the war. It was something…

And then… went out yesterday evening looking for a pub, looking to converse with some Japanese locals… but that wasn’t such a good experience. I’m not sure we were in the best place (random ladies trying to grab your junk and saying things to you like “sekushi taimu?” “masaji?”

No wonder this place is so popular??
