The internet has really degraded in the past five years.
I started a new job this week (previously I had been working construction stuff outside) to go along with the change in weather. There’s a bunch of snow on the ground and ice on the roads now. I’m now at Tech Works Engineering… which so far has been a pleasantly eye-opening experience. I’d direct you to their website, but it’s drastically out of date, and so far has been one of my projects… so I’ll ask you to wait. If you don’t already know… they focus on building Subaru race engines.
I’ve learned a lot lately.
And my hashirya tendencies have been slightly re-awakened. Not that they ever really died… but I guess of late I’d been giving up hope of improvement and vehicular progress. Money is hard to come by. Maybe working at a shop will make that easier.
Either way… I’m unusually energetic and upbeat lately. Maybe it’s a result of having finally conquered a cold that I thought would never end. Maybe it’s the new job. Maybe it’s a beautiful girl. Maybe it’s 4 more hours of darkness everyday. I don’t really need to sleep anymore… but when I do, I have the most lovely dreams.
And yet… in many ways the world is crashing down.
