Old Time [qr] AE86 1

Going through some of the old content to get it up in the new format (which I’m really not sure I even like) made me realize that although our history is quite well published since 2004, there is really nothing of the times before that. Furthermore… On the interweb, I also recently stumbled upon a gunmetal AE86 with an orange hood and big 16″ wheels with black centers and an orange lip. This particular one was built for drag racing… but still… the look was all vintage QR Garage. (if you’ve seen it throw me a bone… I can’t find it now)

And so… here is the one and only video we have of our first jointly built car. What a mess it was really. Only certain parts of it were hack… but it was definitely ghetto and budget. Sheet metal hood, gutted doors, motorcycle exhaust, AFCO Springs, GUYONs Panhard, Kirkey seat, KAAZ LSD, Dunlop TE-E’s and a STOCK motor. It was cheap and ugly, but it was fast. I believe it was 1st and 2nd in FSP in every event it entered, plus it found a number of FTD’s too.
