Things get serious…
Our MSNS has arrived. Our clutch has arrived. Our Turbo manifold has arrived.
The MSNS… such things are way beyond us. Since the 86 is still a distance away from running, I think a reasonable plan of action might be to install the MS on my daily driver AE92, just to gain familiarity with it. Time is short… we don’t want to spend our entire next season tuning a car. So… I need a zenkei AE92 GTS wiring harness if anyone should have one.
The turbo manifold… is disappointing. It’s a simple log manifold made by Jason Jenkins, who you will find selling lots of turbo manifolds on ebay. Although the log looks great, the quality of work on the flange is below my standards, in addition, there are some fitment issues. This will need modifications to make me happy, but shouldn’t be a big deal.
A friend set me up with an FC3S Intercooler, and injectors. I’ve been having a tough time finding an IC I think is suitable for our application. The major problem is size and shape. It will take some pics to explain (soon), but I’ve decided that we need an inlet and outlet on opposing ends of the core. I want this, to make plumbing simple, and to keep the intercooler itself, and it’s plumbing out of harms way, since we are very likely to have numerous offroad excursions in the future.
The injectors are top mount 440cc/min… I haven’t looked closely enough to see if they’ll plug into the stock harness and rail.
