Much to the chagrin of my friends… this is not a wheel that I like. I think it’s largely the typical color scheme of polished lips and spoke faces with black underneath. Furthermore… the one piece versions just look really cheap to me. This is probably accentuated by loads of aged and oxidized examples for sale everywhere. Even brand new examples… are just so thin and spiny and extreme in shape that I feel like they almost belong in animation or sci-fi. Nevertheless… there are other Work wheels that I want to feature here… and the Equip 1 is basically the foundation of Work as a whole. I feel obligated. Like so many other pivotal kyusha wheels, these are also back in production. New models are available in a wide variety of sizes and bolt patterns… and feature a more attractive three piece design.
