It snowed this weekend. Somehow, amongst the business of tests and papers I found the time to at least get the 86 under a roof. I have this enormous urge to start ripping it apart. I want to see it in a million pieces… stripped naked… (whoa what’s going on). That fantasy will have to wait I suppose. I got the AE92 in a more together state. This included finding a steering wheel (just gonna use the CMR from the 86), mounting tires (using some nice 185/60 14 Hankook 401’s) as well as putting the interior back together. Decided I really hate doing electrical work and just ripped out the mess of stereo that was there. I’ll have to come back later and put something in because I’m guessing I’m looking at a 1hr to 1.5hr commute into town when the weather gets bad. Oh Mercy. Other than that, all I’ve got to do is hit a muffler shop to execute the fitted blaat cannons, and fit one of my East Bear seats from the 86 (it’s just so much more comfortable).
On the Soarer front. Ryan’s been itching to get this car out on the track. The outing we had planned for it yesterday was cancelled to do snow. Maybe next weekend? We’re also trying to figure out what LSD goes in this car, as TRD part specs contradict the AXLE Code stamped on the VIN plate. Help anyone?
