Banbaa 14

No Disrespect… and it’s not the reason I recently sold my MKII’s.  100% of kyusha drifters and wannabe drifters know the MKII.  MKII’s, though rare in Canada are actually a dime a dozen to me… even in 8J 0.  I told you when I bought those wheels that I wasn’t entirely excited about it.  I was simply lured by a silly cheap price that happened as a result of a poorly categorized auction.

And then I was horribly disappointed to find the tires I wanted were no longer available in 14″.

Not that that stopped me from buying another set of 14’s.  15’s and maybe even 16’s are still in hunting.  But yes… I’ve stepped it down a notch in size.  I have zero regret right now.  Spacers will do work in the rear, and I have something else planned for the front where spacers really mess up scrub radius.

So I present: the first full set of Hayashi Bomber I have ever seen FS.  I can be so arrogant about it, because you simply CANNOT bite my style here…

Hayashi-Bomber-14-65J-7

Size is 14 6.5J +7.  That’s A3A territory… so… meh.  Condition is majide boroi… but the centercaps are a big plus (especially because it looks like they actually fit!)  That and… the price probably makes it my most exciting wheel purchase ever.

neato, but I think they would look better on something more vintage, say ’80 and older.

as far as size/offset, this is a great combo, same as my old A3Es. With a 195/60-14 and rear TRD springs the tops of the tires weren’t tucked but little to no gap, and only had a few mm of side clearance from the lips, in-fact the passenger rear would scrub ever so slightly on bigger bumps. The 1mm of extra offset with the Supras was enough to stop the scrubbage …but I think you’ve already got lips rolled or something?

My research says these wheels could have been produced as early as ’73… so yeah… they’re probably of an older vintage than AE86. But I couldn’t resist.

As for tire size… 195/60 is too balloony for my preferences… I’ll probably just grab some cheap sumitomo’s in 185/60… or maybe some 205/55 RA1’s or R888’s depenending on what the 15’s look like. The quarters and fenders are pulled pretty decently though…

As for A3E’s… as of now they are harder to come by than anything else. Never seen a set except for your old one’s Neil. Certainly I’ll have money for a set if one ever does come up… and probably happily auction these away to a TE or RA owner.
