Grinding

My grandpa's safety glasses... and no gloves.

Ryan and I spent the whole day yesterday doing something on our new black hatch that should have taken only an hour or two. This leaves me absolutely dumbfounded about how there are so many 86 enthusiasts. Maybe all 86’s can still be fun to drive, but some of them are so well aged now that wrenching them can be a nightmare. This makes me truly appreciate the coupe which, by some standards is old and decrepit, is a gem in comparison to other Canadian 86’s. I mean… I can do anything on that car and not worry about seized bolts and stripped nuts. Yesterday’s events have left the coupe on jackstands after we stole some rear brake bits off it to get the new hatch road worthy. Gomen kirei ni hatiroku.

And… some neat pics from Tuesday night. If you know about Calgary 86, then you probably know what’s going on here.
