Old Man Tuning. Restoration 1

backtostockI told someone when I started turbocharging, that if I blew up it wouldn’t be worth it now matter how fast it was for a short time.  Almost a full season later, with a second daughter only a couple weeks away I can say… I WAS RIGHT.  It wasn’t worth it.  Between 50hr work weeks, maintenance on family vehicles (heh we bought a Sienna now too) and a growing desire to be a good dad, I can say that as much as I enjoy my Sunday mornings in the barn I’d rather be wiping off dust and turning a key than spraying sparks, laying bead and melting Tin/Lead.

Until only recently, when I wised up about not investing money in more cars, I was shopping for a number of cars to replace, or at least displace my AE86 for the time being.  SW20, GC8 Impreza, ZZW30… all bone stock and clean.  I also think/dream of the above image…. although it seems near impossible to de-tune my current car so far.
