Inital D has never been “cool”… but that doesn’t stop me. All you haters have no idea what fanboys and nerds actually have on you, just by being into a TV show. I had a long conversation this week with a long lost and lifetime fellow AE86 driver… a very respectable driver… who shared his distaste for this trend of the boroboro, smashed and crashed drift car.
I won’t say I agree, but Bunta has a point: it does well to remind me that a whole other level of driving exists in some universe transcendent to mine.
The loose translation goes like, “If you bang up your car, then you’re still a little girl. Big cool me, would NEVER even let my car get scratched.“
🙁 I thought initial D was awesome. It dreams big of what I could never be! Nothing beats that in my opinion, but i’m just a “fan boi” nonetheless.
