Still A Ways To Go 2

DSCN1645This picture is a few days old.  The garage is a gigantic mess now, but I can’t photograph it.  My wife took both of our camera’s to Japan for a month.  As I said before… the SW11 was in for a few simple things prior to season.  The AE86 however; I’m beginning to wonder if it will be ready to go on the 8th.  It’s my fault really… I have felt a need to put my mark back on this car after it was out of my ownership for two years.  It was perfectly driveable and good by all standards when I bought it… but at present it’s many hours away.  Not that the tail lamp indicates anything.

The list of things now changed or in progress of changing is not long… but with my limited availability, and tardy fabrication skills, is/has taking/taken me a long time.

1. spring swap (softer and higher)
2. alignment overhaul
3. refinish new Advan wheels (so sick)
4. make seat rails and sliders (probably took me 10hrs!)
5. long steering boss
6. relocate battery (can’t stand the thought of a battery over top of an already overloaded wheel)
7. fit JDM coupe spoiler on spare decklid
8. refinish carbon hood
9. patch my rear pockets (fell to the サビ)
10. modify exhaust (doesn’t clear the axle at new ride height)

Of course that’s not all… but I won’t be so petty.
