Past Projects

In the fall of 2001 Ryan and I started assembling and modifying cars together.  All started in different forms, some from scratch, others from near full build requiring only tweaking and tuning.  Nevertheless, all of these cars have been ours… we have a tendency to go through a lot:  lots that never even made mention here, and some that I spent hours writing and thinking about.  It is some form of A.D.D…. really.  In the first few years after we teamed up, neither of us managed to make it through a single season with one car.  They came and went. Mostly it was because we liked to dream, but it was also partly because there was always someone willing to buy.  Cash just looks so good.

Note: These charts are for fun.  Don’t confuse them for us being hard core and bad ass.  Check it out.

Heh you can only do so much in Street class… and I always wanted Tomei parts for my AE86’s. If all I can do is a cat back exhaust and a sway bar, then I might as well do those things right. In titanium, this Tomei system is rumoured to save 35lbs over the stock system, and given that I […]

A stock AE86 is a car with an aftermarket LSD, coilovers, RCA’s, exhaust and intake, seats, steering wheel and baseball bat fenders. No one… I mean NO ONE wants to drive an AE86 that is truly stock, and NO ONE since 1997 has ever owned an AE86 that was truly unmodified. I thought ZN6/ZC6/FT86 would be slightly different, and it […]

You forgot this thing was here, and I’m embarrassed to say that I’m quite smitten with it. It has certainly been a Dodge… meaning little annoying things break all the time, and it constantly threatens to blow up it’s transmission, but it is cheap, gets beat on and is incredibly practical. It’s also hilarious on snowy roads. Holding massive angle […]

One oil change done on the FRS… and I’ll say that doing the work there was even more satisfying and enjoyable than driving the car. Imagine looking underneath a car and finding everything… everything… perfect and clean. No nasty undercoating, no rounded off bolt heads from some dufus making do with his imperial wrenches, no leaky power steering… and not […]

Wife and I took the weekend to smash Montana backroads and antique shops. I’ve never wanted to do that in any other car that I’ve owned. Smash the backroads? Yes I’ve wanted to do that before. But I’ve never had a car that I could cruise Cowboy Trail at a mundane 115km/h in before, or one that would even allow […]
