Past Projects

In the fall of 2001 Ryan and I started assembling and modifying cars together.  All started in different forms, some from scratch, others from near full build requiring only tweaking and tuning.  Nevertheless, all of these cars have been ours… we have a tendency to go through a lot:  lots that never even made mention here, and some that I spent hours writing and thinking about.  It is some form of A.D.D…. really.  In the first few years after we teamed up, neither of us managed to make it through a single season with one car.  They came and went. Mostly it was because we liked to dream, but it was also partly because there was always someone willing to buy.  Cash just looks so good.

Note: These charts are for fun.  Don’t confuse them for us being hard core and bad ass.  Check it out.

I’m pretty much the only guy who has this fantasy… and it may not be a fantasy for much longer, as I am looking at the size of my wallet thinking about how to make it a reality. I bought a WRX because I could… and because at the time, I thought I wanted 300hp and turbo tunability. I’m not […]

Dokodemo Fundeiru

After almost a year in pieces, Andrew’s second BC6 is back on the road. I haven’t really been involved with it at all… but from what little hands on experience I’ve had, it’s been a good reminder, that the things that make cars cool are not HP and bling parts. This boroi old thing has my car beat on a […]

On The Road Again

These arrived. If you need a refresh, they are Speedline Acropoli sized 15 6.5J +35 that I found on yahoo auction for a measely 8000円. Lots of Subaru guys make claim that some 16’s won’t even clear 4 pot calipers, and when looking at my Watanabe’s, that might seem true. The Wat’s fit tight, with only a couple of mm […]

Tight Fit

I gave auto-x another chance last weekend. It bonked pretty hard, and I’ve been reflecting all week as to why I had such a terrible time. Oddly enough, the best part was actually the drive up and back and spending time with people who I don’t see very often. Auto-x itself was terrible. It may have been the course, and […]

Try Again

Just bought these on Yahoo. Uninterested? I’ll admit that they are not my most interesting find, but unlike my other Speedlines (Preo-R’s), these are not “tuner” wheels, but real competition wheels. That’s not entirely relevant to me, except that it means that these are 15’s… 15’s that will clear my 4 pot brakes. Fifteens are cool because they provide me […]

More Shoes

Bridgestone LOG Fin’s anyone? I’m shopping hard for some winter shoes… and am constantly frustrated by what’s available.  No one on any message board even thinks of putting 16’s on their GD.  I want to step down to 15’s.  There’s also mad conflicting information about fitment issues with 4-pot brakes.  Some say that most 16″ wheels won’t even fit… others […]
