Past Projects

In the fall of 2001 Ryan and I started assembling and modifying cars together.  All started in different forms, some from scratch, others from near full build requiring only tweaking and tuning.  Nevertheless, all of these cars have been ours… we have a tendency to go through a lot:  lots that never even made mention here, and some that I spent hours writing and thinking about.  It is some form of A.D.D…. really.  In the first few years after we teamed up, neither of us managed to make it through a single season with one car.  They came and went. Mostly it was because we liked to dream, but it was also partly because there was always someone willing to buy.  Cash just looks so good.

Note: These charts are for fun.  Don’t confuse them for us being hard core and bad ass.  Check it out.

I have wicked friends. Ryan had some dyno time booked today for his broken piece. When he got about as far as he could, he told me to roll my ハチロク on for few runs. “Happy Birthday” he said. That plate as well… another gift from another friend, though not from the present year. Getting the car on the dyno, […]

This should be nothing new. I thought it was interesting to look at how slow sliding actually can be. For me at least… it feels so good. I wish I could just throw the car around everywhere… particularly when auto-x is as open as this. I do actually want to go fast though. I’m not meaning to call ANY of […]

Yes it’s back.  There is a new engine in place, along with a race weight flywheel and six puck un-sprung clutch.  Beyond that… you should notice the gigantic 10″ wheels and 275’s are gone, in favour of some higher offset 9’s in the back (still shod with 275’s) and 8’s in the front with 225 rubber.  If you recall my […]

The Dunlops are not wearing as well as I would have hoped.  In fact… even with 5 degrees of negative camber, I was killing the outside edge of my front tires.  I can’t justify the coin needed for 15’s now so I just flipped the tires side to side.  And… since I have a tonnes of shoes in the closet, […]

This is a ghetto part of my car, but it doesn’t bother me.  I thought I was being super INNOVATIVE, but lots of people have seen it and said they did it on their cars too.  I guess I’m the only one using reflective vinyl… it’s a lot heavier and almost completely hides the fact that there is a hole […]

Well, it may not be original per se, but at least you arrived at it independently. Convergent thinking.

    I still think you’re clever.
